Three subject tests

I already took World history (800) and plan on taking math level 2 and US history (my strong subject). I plan on applying as government or political economy major. Will Georgetown count us history as my third subject test even though I already took a history subject test? Thanks in advance

Yes–3 subject tests is 3 subjects tests no matter which ones you took. Also, those were the same three that I did, and they clearly didn’t have a problem with it.

FYI–I have heard two reports that in recent (this week/last week) Georgetown info sessions they announced they will accept AP exam scores in lieu of subject tests with the next (2020/21) application cycle. Please do verify this with your regional AO as you make your plans.

@Mwfan1921 Make it three plus reports! I attended a Georgetown info session last week and we were told that subject tests will not be required; they are just used for placement.

@1stTimeThruMom The news is that Georgetown now will allow applicants to submit AP test scores rather than subject test scores. Subject tests/AP tests are still strongly recommended. Strongly recommended = required, for most applicants.

Wait, isn’t the “next application cycle” 2019-2020? Does this apply to rising seniors applying this fall?

Next application cycle meaning for 2020/21 enrollment, so for rising seniors who will apply this fall/winter. Georgetown will likely update their website this summer wrt SAT subject tests/AP tests, once their app for 2020/21 year is open.

@Mwfan1921 Thank you for clarifying ?
