I am overloaded with homework and applications. I can't bring myself to do the applications, but if I get denied from Cornell I am going to have hopefully 15 days to do like 12 apps (however 5 of those days will be finals...uuggghhhh). Cornell could make me very happy on about many different levels if they accept me.

The engineering chat tonight had some counselors that said the notification date is set in stone, December 19th. Also, there will be nothing on the self service accounts until then (official dates or anything like that).

When I asked my alumni interviewer she said that when her niece got accepted, it said right on there "Congratulations, you've been accepted!" Other than that, I don't know.

They clearly have to notify all of the ed-ers because most people are not on cc or harassing the admissions office (joke). For our $70, the least they can do is have good communication with their prospective students. My dean (gc) said that they send out an email letting us know the date, and she's been doing this for years, so I'd guess that she knows.

rollercoaster my friend who is a freshman at cornell said the same thing. apparntely you go on the site like youre checking your application status and when you click on the link the screen turns red and in big white letters it says "congratulations!"

i wish i didnt know that because now im just going to be disappointed when its like "rejection. kindly refrain from stalking our university. thank you"

you guys are scaring me.....and damn it...i really had my mind set on 15th. I might seriously get a heart condition by the time I find out and then I ll prolly die because of a heart attack before i even get to go to Cornell...

and I am also gonna be checking my app 24/7 starting on 14th..I am pretty sure a lot of people on this forum will too

me to! i already stalk the website now even though i know nothing is changing. my mom and i are hoping that maybe they're just trying to fake us out with the whole 19th thing. its far-fetched but...one can hope haha

Yeah, I trust that the counselors aren't trying to trick us, they're just trying to do the best job they can in the least amount of time possible. In answer to your question Cindy, I am human, and just like everyone else, I have been checking my self service every day and I will continue to check it, probably once every 5 minutes, after the 14th. Although, one thing we can be happy about is that they're out at 5:00 pm or not at all on any given day. That way, we're not all up till 1 in the morning checking our status.
