TI 84 Plus silver not suitable for calculus?

Hey, I was doing some research on which calculator was appropiate for calculus. And from the reccomendations from CC I read that a TI 84 + was fine. But I am looking at: Which Calculator Is Right for Me? by Texas Instruments - US and Canada and calculus is not checked off for the ti 84 +. Can someone please calrify?

Everyone I know who has taken BC at my school has had an 83 or 84. You’re fine with either.

Ok thanks. idk why it says it’s not suitable calc…

yeah you’re fine

They just want you to purchase the more expensive Ti-89 or the Ti-Nspire.

The TI-89 will perform symbolic manipulations. That gives you a great deal more power when working with indefinite integrals.

With that said, I used an 84-Silver and did just fine in the class and on the exam. The 84 will compute definite integrals.

You don’t even need more than a TI-83 Plus. I used that for AB and got an A and a 5 on the exam. Plan on doing the same with BC this year.
