ti-89 help (unit conversion).... im dumb.

<p>i need help for my first day of ap chemistry. i have a ti-89.</p>

<p>now, I am not sure how to do unit conversion because i just dont understand it.</p>

<p>here is the problem:</p>

<p>make 0.074in^3 (inches cubed) go to centimeters cubed.</p>

<p>now, i know how to do this... because the answer is 1.21cm^3</p>

<p>how do I convert this on my calc? I go to SECOND -> UNITS and I use 0.074_in^3 and i get 0.00000001</p>

<p>thanks for any help. i know it can be done. right now i am using 2.54 cm/in to get the answer, but i know there is an easier way</p>

<p>No problem - you almost had it:</p>

<p>Type: .074*_in^3</p>

<p>Then...</p>

<p>Type: The arrow sign => (to do this, you press "2nd," then "mode")</p>

<p>Then...</p>

<p>Type: _cm^3</p>

<p>Then...</p>

<p>Press "enter" and you get approx. 1.212642736*_cm^3</p>
