Ti-89 Titanium and the AP Calculus AB test.

I own a Ti-89 Titanium and I will be taking the Calculus AB test this May.

I haven't used the calculator too much actually and I don't use it to do my Calculus homework. Is there anything that I should know to do on the calculator before I take the test? I mean, I've heard several people say that this calculator practically did one complete part of the test for them. What exactly do they mean? And what are some good programs that I should have in my calculator?

Thanks.

the 89 can do mostly all the derivatives that you need, and will give you it back in derivative form.

I would suggest practice some practice tests with it to make sure you know the extent of how it can help you.

The 89 can evaluate symbolic integrals and derivitives, solve and factor equations, solve infinite series and a whole lot more. Did your 89 come with a manual? Find it, or find one online and read through the basics on how to use the 89.

Yeah, it came with the manual.

I think I'll be buying the Arco AP Calculus book as well.

factoring
solving equations
partial fraction expansion
finding limits
symbolic differentiation
maximizing and minimizing functions
symbolic and numerical integration
evaluating infinite series
finding Taylor series
solving differential equations

how do you do the following on the 89- partial fraction expansion, maximizing and minimizing functions, and solving differential equations?

Examples:
expand(1/(x^2-1),x) => 1/2 /(x-1) - 1/2 / (x+1)
fmin(x^2,x) => x = 0
fmax(-x^2,x) => x = 0
deSolve(y' = y and y(0)=0,x,y) ==> y = e^x
