Tick tock. The waiting game begins. :)

First I would like to thank everyone for all of their help as my D and I prepped for her past weekend auditions.

She did very well, and at this point is really loving the Pace program.

As we thought it might, at both her auditions, her dance experience shined, so they asked her at both Rider and Pace if she would also consider Rider's dance program, and Pace's Commercial Dance major, if not accepted into the MT program. With the limited number of kids accepted into MT, While she would prefer being in MT, she told them yes at both places. We joked that "You can take the girl out of dance but can't take the dancer out of the girl",lol.. I personally love Pace's Commercial Dance program and many of the current students we talked to said they auditioned as MT majors and went with CD as an alternative. They are still taking voice, acting, etc. and still can be part of every production. As we were told..you have your foot in the door, what you do after that is up to you.

So now we wait..and wait. She does have one more audition for Wagner at the end of the month, but she at least has an idea of what to expect, and was overall very happy with both her experiences. I think this has to be the hardest part. :)

Same here. Just completed all unified and individual college auditions both in NYC and Chicago - and flying back to our island paradise early tomorrow morning - and looking forward to the warm weather and beaches. And the long waiting game begins.

I would say it was a good experience for my D and I, having to travel more than 8,000 miles and 17 hours plane ride (one way!) This was the first and last for me for college auditions. Would have a lot of stories to tell back home. One thing that stick to me during the last audition coming from the chairperson and director of theater of one of the colleges: Children, appreciate your parents who went through all the preparation and driving with you for all the auditions. Parents, be proud of your children because they stand above the rest and brave enough to stand infront of strangers and did their best!

Wishing the best to all who auditioned!

That is the truth!! Every parent I spoke to looked worn out, lol. We weren’t part of the Unifieds; we are right here in NJ, so she only applied to tri-state area schools, but I talked to some parents whose kids were there for Unifieds and had auditioned 8 or more times that weekend. Whoa. So glad we did not go through that.

My D met some really great kids, and I met some awesome parents, so in that respect whatever happens makes it worth it. One thing is for sure, as if we did not know; there is a LOT of talent out there.

I also wish everyone luck whatever your choice, just know that you are all talented, and if you keep that determination up, you will be successful no matter where you go in life.
