In the short space of time that now exists between us and "Judgment Day" (any chance to slip in a Terminator reference, right?), I'd like to express my continuing affection for the community here on the Tufts boards.

My constant interaction with students like you has shown me that how great our applicants are. And I'm not talking about just the ones we admit. There are applicants every year where I have long and incredibly gratifying correspondences regardless of the number of admits we offer from Tufts - CC is no exception. I know this will sound sort of counter-intuitive, but it's the great kids we have turn away that leave me most hopeful.

If you hear what you want to - Congratulations. But either way, as decisions come in, please remember that neither an admit letter nor a denial changes who you are, your value to the world, or what you have done with your time and your energy.

Thanks Dan, for your kind words. It's been great having you here on CC. Please encourage Tufts to continue using the internet to help applicants and dispel a lot of the college admissions myths.

You're really awesome, Dan! Your presence on this board has had a positive and calming influence which is hugely appreciated. It also makes Tufts look like a humane place, which is pretty unusual these days. Thank you!

First of all, I love your Shakespeare quote-titled posts. It makes me feel fuzzy inside. Second, Dan, you have been a great help and a source of comfort throughout this whole process. I thank you very much for taking the time to answer our questions and lend encouragement to us students. :)

I won't be seeing you at all next year (unless, for whatever reason, you like to chill around BU) but I always thought your posts were funny and you made admissions officers seem like real people. Kudos to you.
