Time Spent on Extracurricular Activities...

Hey all. I have a question regarding the "approximate time spent" on extracurricular activities." If I joined a new activity just this school year, should I take the time spent to mean the time I've spent on the activity so far, or the time that I will be spending on it through to the end of the year?

So far, it's only been about 5 weeks, but the activity will last the entire school year.

If I take "time spent" to mean time so far, I wouldn't want it to look like the activity was short-lived.

On the other hand, if I take "time spent" to mean the time that will be spent on it total, I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to *pull a fast one on them.

*Since I'd be checking the "grade 12" box, plus the done during "school year" box. Then going on to estimate I spent 6-7 months on it whilst school's only been in session for 3-4 months.

Which should I assume they mean? Or rather, which DO they mean, because I don't want to assume one if they mean the other.

I'd appreciate seeing what others did.

I would assume that you assume for the entire school year. So if you’ve spent 2 hours a week for the past 6 weeks, then just say 2 hours a week for 36 weeks (which is what I approximated a school year is give or take a few weeks).
