times running out

i havent taken any SATII's yet and I'm going into medicine. I figure I'll take Bio Chem and Math IIC all on the same day in Oct. Is that a bad idea?

It depends on where you want to go. Some schools don't even require SAT IIs, so check with your schools.

Its never a good idea to try to take 3 SATIIs on the same day. I took 2 on one day and it wasn't a problem, but ppl advise against three. Also, some schools only require 2, so, again, check with them.

Finally, some people say that you should take subjects that will make you look well-rounded. However it is probably most important that you take tests you can do well on, so if you think you can do the best in your three, I would, rather than do worse on a humanities test. Still, if you're good at analyzing poety, SATII lit is pretty easy to study for.

I took Math IIc, Chem, Bio (in that order) in May. It was fine. Do it in that order and you can get it done in one day. Math takes the most thinking, Chem the second, and bio is just straight memorization/recall.

Well - funny story about that day. I wake up take those. I go on an hour long run (middle of track season), then come back to school because we have a bio review session for the AP test (2 days from that day). From 1-3 i'm at teh review session when I have to go to chemistry - because we have our CHEM FINAL that day, the final being a practice AP test.

So, I took a full chem AP (full time too), and 3 SAT II's on the same day, laced with a bio review session. Fun stuff, huh? Didn't do too poorly on any of em either.

Yale is the only Ivy requiring three SAT IIs that I can find... UPENN is still considering and Dartmouth says two.

Harvard, Princeton, and MIT also require three.
