I'm going to be a sophomore this coming fall.
Currently, I'm doing a summer teaching program. My mentor teacher is willing to write a letter of recommendation for me.

I want that letter for Law School.

How should I approach this?
I have no idea what I should do... like where to download the form etc...

You would have to set up and pay for an account on the LSAC website.

remember by the time you apply to law school this recommendation is going to be anywhere from 2 to 4 years old. You would be better served having a recommendation junior or senior year

Do law schools look down at older recommendations?

And if I set up an account now, would it still be active 2-4 years later?

SN: A little, yes. And don’t bother setting up the account. Just ask the prof to write it and keep it on file for a couple years. When the time comes, you can send him/her the paperwork.
