Timing on a retake?

<p>So I got an 800 on lit and a 650 on Latin, and I'm really not happy with the Latin score. I'm not surprised by it -- I left that test feeling like I'd done MUCH worse -- but I'm not happy.</p>

<p>So the thing is, this test isn't offered again until December. The only school I'm applying to which requires subject tests is Rice, and I was CONSIDERING applying ED, but the last SAT date for that application plan is November 3. Even for RD, Dec 1 is the last date -- is this cutting it too close? Should I bother to retake the Latin, or should I try another test? </p>

<p>My fear is that a) I'll retake the Latin test and not do well again, and not have another chance to retake it, or b) I'll take another Subject Test and do even worse on that one, with very little wiggle room left for a retake.</p>

<p>I'd say just take two other tests that you might be comfortable with in october and see how you do...</p>

<p>Two? I only need two tests total, so wouldn't it make sense to just take one in October?</p>
