<p>Coming for a visit. Will take the tour but will also have an afternoon and evening free . Other than just walking campus, any hints on what to see or do - particular emphasis on restaurants, coffee shops, hangouts near campus. Just trying to get a feel for the place - or as much as you can in 24 hours.</p>

<p>I’ve only been there to visit once but… the famous Moosewood restaurant it is there if you like vegetarian foods and their cookbooks. We had a FABULOUS meal at Mahogany Grill (steakhouse). The students told us the Ithaca Ale House (right across from Mahogany) has great burgers. Some one mentioned a cupcake store that’s popular with the students.</p>
<p>The gorges are suppose to be beautiful but we didnt see them since it was winter.</p>
<p>I need some ideas as well. We are going next month for Cornell Days and I need something to do with my 13 year old while my older son is busy. Also we could use some restaurant recommendations too. Any ideas?</p>
