Tips to get into Faculty of Arts?

I've become really interested with McGill recently, and I had a few questions about the Faculty of Arts.

1) How hard is it to get into? For example, would this get me into the Faculty of Arts (these are not my exact stats as I haven't finished High School):
- All A's in English Sophmore, Junior and Senior years (AP English senior year)
- 3 years of being an editor on an award winning newspaper
- 2 years editor on award winning literary magazine (one of which I was Editor-in-Chief)
- AP Art (A)
- AP Art History (A)
- AP US History (A)
- NAHS (National Art Honor Society)
- 700 on writing, 720 on reading (SAT)
- 690 Literature, 760 American History (SAT)
- 4 years Latin, including AP Latin (all A's)

I posted these as this is what McGill said they would look at soley for Arts.

2) What are some tips to get into the Faculty of Arts? Good extracurriculars, classes to take, etc?

3) Are freshmen allowed to get off-campus housing? If so, is this advisable?

In general, fulfill the requirements and get the best grades you can. McGill does not look at extracurriculars. Yes, I think freshmen are allowed to get off-campus housing. Living on campus is a bit more expensive, I hear, but it's a great opportunity to make friends, and should contribute to the college experiences.

you'l probably get in. i did, and your stats are just slightly higher than mine

You're stats are good, you should get in. Since McGill only looks at grades, there aren't any ECs or Recs you could have sent, you just need to get good grades/ SAT scores. Btw, what did you get on Math? You only included Reading and Writing, and Math is weighed pretty heavily if you're considering applying to another faculty as well as Arts...

I'm not sure if they allow freshmen to get off-campus housing, but freshmen are guaranteed housing, so why not live close to school? Plus, it's more expensive to live off-campus, even more so than New Res, which is probably the most expensive, especially since you'd have to bring everything yourself, but on-campus housing I think they provide you with a bed and desk or something... I read it somewhere. I suggest living on-campus, it creates less hassle, and since it'll be your freshman year, why create more stress than needed?

jhhilly, what are you smoking? Off-campus is cheaper, especially outside the ghetto.
