Hey I'm a rising HS junior and I've been periodically checking "collegedata" for some statistics on students who were admitted to NYU, and what was a little bit interesting to me was that almost all who applied listed a LOAD of EC's like president of this and that, soccer, baseball and all these things, and also the majority of those students applied to CAS.

Now on the NYU site, it says they are looking for substantial involvement in a FEW activities, rather than a laundry list of activities these kids have.

Now as a prospective Tisch film production applicant, I'm a little confused as to where I stand. I understand Tisch reviews Academics and the portfolio equally, but I still don't know about EC's. Collegeboard tells me that EC's are the second most important factos in NYU admissions.

I have been somewhat involved in my school, but it's difficult since this upcoming school year will be my second time changeing school districts. Is this going to hold me back, and do Tisch film students typically present strong EC's, and should I adress my school moves and their difficulties in my application?

I would appreciate some Tisch students' advice, but if anyone else can help I would love that as well

Thank you
