Tisch Portfolio

Since my grades are subpar for tisch for film, i'm trying to make my portfolio shine as much as possible.

i do not have a reel to submit, so I was wondering if they look at writing a short story in a dimmer light? i have a pretty solid idea and my english teachers have always told me i have an innate ability to tell and execute a story effectively, so i felt it would be in my best interest.

i guess my main question is: does submiting creative writing in lieu of a film reel put someone at a disadvantage?

all opinions are welcome (especially current Tischies and Tisch graduates!)

P.S.- should i doublespace my 6 page story or keep it singlespaced?

bumpppppp?

No of course not, they wouldn't give you that option if they were going to look at it in a negative light. You should be good, good luck!

I'm applying to Tisch Film too, I sent a short film thoughn for my creative submission. It's on my youtube account if you're interested. YouTube - chrisbima's Channel

bump this up !
