<p>Sorry to start a whole new thread for this, but I didn't want to high jack somebody else's. My friend and I both attend the same community college and applied to Tisch's bfa acting. It is listed on the NYU website that transfers won't hear admissions decisions until after May 1st, yet this morning he got an email with "your nyu admission decision" as the subject line. Does anyone have any experience with transferring into Tisch? When did you receive your emails? He is on vacation right now with his girlfriend and doesn't want to open the email until he gets back in case it's bad news. I realize this is a very trivial question for a new thread... Just hoping for some info that might ease his nerves until he comes home.</p>
<p>Hey there. I,too, am a transfer student, but I got an email today saying that I have been placed in the Stella Adler acting studio. I was also told we would not find out until May. I am kind of confused. I don’t know whether this was by mistake or if I really got in?
Has he opened it yet?</p>

How interesting about your email… Maybe email them back to confirm, just to make sure? Congrats, though!!!

<p>Also, I called admissions the other day to confirm some overnighted supplements, and they basically said that NYU is on rolling admissions. Seems weird that they have so many specific dates listed… Btw, when did you submit your application?</p>
<p>Sorry about your friend! I sent in my application the last day possible- on April 1st. Which is why I am so SHOCKED that I was told I was placed into Stella Adler acting studio last night. Surely they could not have reviewed my application that quickly. Sort of confused… But my actual audition was in the beginning of February. </p>
<p>Did you also apply as a transfer? If so, have you heard anything?</p>
<p>Hah, that is my exact situation! How funny. But I haven’t heard anything yet. Auditioned in mid feb and submitted my app on April 1st, also a transfer. So I’m guessing I’ll be hearing very soon then. congrats again : )</p>
