TJHSST Junior Year?

Hi! I'm a freshman at TJ and I have been freaking out over junior year. Going from 8 hours of sleep a night to 3 hours is terrifying. I know people that sleep three hours a night and those that sleep seven, both taking the same AP's and everything. I am not an overachieving CC'er, so I'm planning on taking three AP's: APUSH, AP AB Calc, and AP Chem. Are there are TJ people out there that can voice their opinion?
I'm involved in two or three extracurriculars and have all A's at this point in freshman year. I'm willing to sacrifice an hour or so of sleep, but I know I won't be able to function at all on just three hours of rest.

HELP IM FREAKING OUT

Calm down, you will get smarter and learn how to adjust as your courseload takes a step up as a sophomore, or even as your freshman year progresses. Freshman year is a bad diagnosis of where you will be, because some people transition in easily, some people are just geniuses, and some people have rough transitions finding out what works and what doesn’t. Wait until your signing up for junior year courses to find out what you need.

BUT OMG I CANT LIVE ON THREE HOURS OF SLEEP AHHH ru a tj person? freshman year is fine for me right now and i think it’ll stay fine because i’m blessed with an easy IBET
but i don’t understand how some people get three hours of sleep and some get seven while taking similar AP’s? i’m not deciding anything yet but i’d like to know what’s in store

It really depends on what you take… My brother took AP Physics and 4 other APs and he slept from 12/1AM ish to 7 every day. that’s 6 hours around (twice as much as three, which you seem to have heard).

i ain’t taking 5 APs but omg wow was ur brother some type of genius or something… i feel like its really a matter of time management and knowing what you can handle… are you going to TJ?

Yes I do attend Jefferson. Freshman year is a really bad diagnosis. Some people ace it cause they have easy teachers, some ace it cause they are geniuses, some flunk it (like me) cause they have a tough transition from middle school where they were on top. It’s just your time to learn everything and adjust. Once sophomore year starts, and you see what more advanced courses you can and can’t handle, then you can figure out what your junior year is going to be like. Don’t panic so much.
