To all current Rice University students (urgent please help)

<p>So the application deadline is Jan 2 and it's been kind of rough for me. Rice U is one of my top choice schools but I only decided to apply earlier this month and, unfortunately, the interview deadline already passed. I also live much too far to afford a campus visit. Basically, it really doesn't look like I'm interested in Rice at all on paper.</p>

<p>Would anyone who is currently attending Rice be interested in chatting (IM or email or MSN, whichever works) with me about Rice U tomorrow and letting me put down your name in the part of the app that asks if I've had any contact with a current student (and to put his/her name down)?</p>

<p>Please, I'm kind of desperate here :(</p>

<p>it will not affect ure admission too much if u had contact with a rice student or not, i think if you did a good job on your “why rice” you should be fine.</p>

<p>thats not gonna help at all. and its really not in the spirit of the appilcation anyways</p>

<p>in any case, I was abroad at the time of applying and did not visit Rice or speak to them. It doesnt matter</p>

<p>I’m from an area where Rice is not well-known at all, so I had NO ONE to put for “contact” about Rice. Don’t worry about it–I got in, with merit aid, so as long as you write a strong college interest essay you should be fine.</p>
