To all the seniors that survived!

Looking back at my high school career I have done a lot of great things, but I have definitely made some mistakes. So I am curious what are some of the mistakes you guys have made, and what is one thing you would change about your high school career?

For me:
Biggest Mistake: I pressured myself so much to do great in school that I ended up working myself too hard and took a few short cuts that I regret.

One thing I would change: Every once in a while I wish I just looked up and thought about whats the worse that could really happen if I didn’t ace this test, or win this race, or beat this person, and just realize all the stress isn’t worth it, one B isn’t going to make or break your future.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I would love too hear from you guys, whether it be college students, high school students, or even parents who know what their kids have gone through!

I am a senior, and my biggest regret is not realizing how important my GPA is early on. Junior year I went “oh sh*t” when the reality of my future and college hit me; if I had focused on my grades in 9th and 10th grade, my life would be a lot less stressful.

Biggest Mistake: I made school second priority 9th and 10th grade. --> Got a D+ in AP World History (made it up tho)

One thing I could change: “Work hard, play hard.” I could have paid attention to my academics along with went to special events such as dances, parties, etc.
