I have ungraduated credits (4 year school)in accounting, from another country. Now i wanna go for nursing programm (RN). My question what to do? Apply like a freshman or to evaluate my credits and apply like transfer student. I am also not eligible for fafsa, so looking for foundations and grants for international students. I dont have idea how to do my tuition lower, does it more foundations and grants for freshmans or transfers? I will appreciate Any recommendations and suggestions.
It is not your choice. Some colleges allow applicants with a very small number of credits to apply as a freshman. check the college website.
You must submit transcripts for all previous courses.
You are required to submit all your transcripts, so go ahead and get them evaluated. Wes.org is a good option for that. Their evaluations are generally accepted.
thaank you! How about for grants and foundations for transfer students? i mean is it easy to find like for freshman students?
As an international student, your chances for funding are very limited. No, it is not easy. Plan on paying $60K per year whether you are a freshman or transfer.
Grants and foundations for free college in the US for international students are not easy to find or get, for either freshmen or transfers. Likely it is even harder for transfers, though.
The only real solution I see to your financial concerns is to look for good loan options. Perhaps in the future you’ll be eligible for grants for nursing students when you enroll, however you’d have to do more research on that.
