to do this summer (internships, job, ..?)

Hello,
I am trying to find something to do this summer. I am considering majoring in psychology, and perhaps doubling with neuroscience. I was wondering if anyone can give me any suggestions on what resources I can use to find internships, research, or volunteer opportunities that I can still apply for. I am considering becoming a psychologist and going into counseling, but I’m not certain of this and I was wondering if there are any opportunities out there that any of you may know of that can give me some more exposure to this career path.
I live in southwestern CT and would prefer to do something near home so I can commute, and not pay for housing, or it would be great to know of any programs that offer financial aid to cover housing costs.

Thanks in advance

I would talk to Career Services Center at your school. They will be much more knowledgeable about internships in your area related to your field than most people on here would be, simply because we are from different parts of the country/world.

I know that most internship deadlines have passed or will be closing soon, so I would try to do this ASAP.

You may have to volunteer at a shelter if they will accept you. As an undergrad in a confidential field, liability and privacy issues may not permit you to intern in this area. You need to check with your school.

Additionally, psych students are begging for intern positions in our geographic region.
