To drop or not to drop?

I'm taking a 5-credit language class that has a strict attendance policy. All (more or less) of my test/homework scores have been A's, but my professor's subtracting 7 percentage points from my grade due to absences, which should leave me with a B. Should I take a B in that 5-credit class or should I take a W, repeat the class next semester, and get a grade that reflects my knowledge of the material...and not how many times I went to class?

(I'll be applying to other schools next year. Would taking a W make it seem like I had a C or D and dropped to avoid failing?)

Is a B all that bad? If it is, take a W and briefly explain the situation to your schools in written form. Or simply say you realized the class had a nasty dynamic you didn't like. If your transcript otherwise isn't full of W:s, nobody'll care that much.

Take the B... I went through a similar dilemma when I took a Statistics course. If you fall any lower than a B, I recommend the W.

take it pass fail

just take the b...dont drop cuz then you will probably have to wait another full year to re-take it, and you dont want to waste your time. i am in a 5 credit language course too with a strict attendance policy...

^ ^ agree ^ ^

Youre a dork

school is for chumps

You mean "you're" correct?

Has anyone seen National Lampoon, not the new one though.

Youre lame for correcting me for not using an apostrophe.

Im sick of people on CC trying to detract from a statement if you dont use apostrophes or capitalization while youre typing.

Im not an idiot. Dont make me look like one. This is the internet. Be thankful I capitalized...lamo.

LOL I commend you for writing short sentences. Plus relax.
