To people who got their decisions: how accurate were the people who chanced you in predicting your decisions?

Well, considering that people who applied and were rejected from Yale most likely never come to this forum, any results you’ll get will be awfully skewed, no?

Plus, what can you glean about how accurate other predictions were? It’s not as if you can compare their stats or something. The fact is no one can accurately predict yours or near anyone’s chances. Trying to affix some level of utility to that search is rather Quixotic.

Apply and be satisfied with that.

Never put my stats up for chancing. After you’ve seen hundreds of such threads, you can pretty much do yourself. (that’s what she said, yes)

But I try to be as accurate as possible, and when they are in the ridiculously high end, I just tell them they’ll get in somewhere nice, even if its not their dream school.

Seriously, some people get too paranoid.

After reading countless chance threads, I’ve gotten a firm grasp of rejected/accepted students, and why they were. I would hope most people would be the same.
