To retake or not to retake?

Alright, here are my scores

SAT
December 2007- CR 670 M 720 W 790

January 2008- CR 730 M 700 W 670

ACT
June 2008- 35 (36/35/35/35)

The reach schools are Dartmouth, Brown, Amherst just to give you an idea

My super-score is a 2240 from the SATs

should I retake the SAT in the Fall? I know I could do better on the math section. If I could bring it into the 2300s, that would be awesome...I only studied for the CR when I took the January. But, should I only send my SAT IIs and ACT (an option that is applicable for some of the schools I am applying to)? I'm not sure when it is, but if I take it I think in November, if I do better I can send it to my ED school (Dartmouth) but if I don't, then I just don't send it and they won't see it. But would three times be too many? Just send the ACT?

AhhhIhaveneverbumpedbefore

bump

Why bother with a 35 ACT?

shut up
just shut up

you're really stupid for posting BS like this with a 35 ACT, which is like 2300+ SAT

don't ever post again.

ouch, some people need to cool it. I think if you want to, you could retake your SAT, but it's not necessary because you already have a 35 ACT, which is really good. Taking the SAT three times is fine. I would just send the ACT score.

when you send in your SAT2s, your SAT score is in that report as well. I say, send in the ACT, 35 is very high. Don't retake the SAT, and use the time to prep for your SAT2's, work on your essays and apps, etc. good luck sherlock.

Your scores are excellent. I'd stick with what I've got if I were you.

Ah, I knew this would happen if I posted. I just wanted an honest opinion (thanks to everyone who gave it to me) but yeah, you need to calm down Shubham. It's more the fact that my CR/M composite was a 1450, which I could bring up.

So if sending SAT IIs means my SAT I too, then how do I indicate I want them to look at the ACT instead? Or do I need to?

good luck sherlock

yeah i have the same question...i have a 1580 cr/math and 2340 with writing...should i retake it? cuz i think its REALLY bad and imo anything below a 2350 is horrendous

Please, I really don't care if you are bitter or think I am stupid or whatever. I'm trying not to be insulting, I'm just asking for an answer, not your commentary. I just want someone who can answer my question about the fact of using an ACT instead of an SAT I. If I'm going to be looked at on the basis of a 2240 super-scored, then yes, I would possibly want to retake because I feel like everyone else applying to these top schools has over a 2300, so sue me.

Can someone just tell me how sending an ACT instead works because that is obviously what I would do, I just don't know how that would work if colleges look at your SAT I anyway with your SAT II. If someone is going to give me a real answer on how sending ACT instead of SAT I or how exactly it works, it would be much appreciated.

And thank you to everyone who has given me a real answer
