To Send or Not to Send??

I've taken the SAT twice and have a superscore of 2360 with an 8 on the essay both times.

My subject test scores are 800 in Math Level II and Physics.

I've taken the ACT once and got a 35 composite, with good scores in everything except the essay (6 out of 12).

I am definitely sending all of my SAT scores, but should I send my ACT scores? my concern is the low essay score. I'm worried the 6 on the ACT with the 8's on the SAT will be seen as a pattern of poor writing. (I'm not that bad of a writer, my application essays are good and I got a 5 in AP English, I'm just not a very good standardized test essay writer.)

So, should I send my ACT score or leave it out? Thanks!

Where are you applying? Your sat scores are amazing, so sending the act might be a bit superfluous, especially if you’re applying to the ivies and the like.

Check to see if you are required to send both – example Stanford requires all SAT and ACT scores. If not, you are likely fine just sending SAT although you would also likely be fine sending both. I would not be overly worried about the essay score including because many (including Columbia, Cornell, Stanford, and UChicago) don’t consider it all.

I’m applying to HYP, Stanford, Rice, Vanderbilt, and Wash U. If their policy is to send all of the scores I’ll do that, but I was wondering about the ones that allow you to decide on your own.

Any other thoughts?

I am mostly debating whether or not to send my ACT to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Rice, and WashU.
