did you enter a "second major" that you would consider in case you were rejected from your first choice? I wanna be a physician so i really want the biological sciences major but would it hurt me if i didnt have a second choice major like say, nutritional sciences?

Just put something down. If you do get your second choice (which probably isn't too common), then you can just switch to the bio major relatively easily. Once you're in, you can basically take whatever classes you want, and you don't technically declare a major until much later.

thanks alot, now i'm jus kinda aggravated i have to write another short answer response!

thx for the info tho, it helps

i dig these directed posts. I wonder what it must be like to look at the cornell thread and all of a sudden see your name in a post.

it's kind of scary. it puts how much time you've wasted on CC into perspective :)

are you doing your 1st choice under biological sciences bluedevil

lol, yeah, I feel super-cool, in a really, really uncool-stop-wasting-your-time-on-CC kind of way...

I only put down a first choice major, because I felt my essays were very directed towards that major. It wouldn't hurt you if you put down nutritional sciences, though. I think most people fill in a second major, since it probably only betters chances of acceptance, as long as it has some relation to the first major.

yes i am seicheong, thanks spanks

i can understand that spart and spank... kinda.
i feel like i live on this site. pathetic. lol

Yeah, but at least you have good reason to...we're just Cornell students who are desperate for any excuse to procrastinate

hah, everyone is desperate for an excuse to procrastinate.

haha i guess i'll be competing against you bluedevil.. im doing 1st choice biological science, 2nd choice nutritional science

lol nice, maybe we'll both get in!?
