Subject pretty much says it all, but I was just curious if anyone was accepted into CALS but for their second choice major... not their first choice.

You don't apply for majors until the end of your soph year. There are a few exceptions like biology.

I forgot to mention, this is for transfer students that have the option of two majors.

When you apply for admissions to CALS, unlike the other colleges at Cornell, you apply to a specific major. Not only for transfers, but for those applying as freshman

Interesting question on whether people get admittied to CALS, but to their 2nd choice major.

If you apply to a program in CALS as first choice, can you specify a second choice program in another college, such as engineering?

Nah, both majors need to be within CALS. Though, I remember reading that Cornell might allow applying to multiple colleges in the future.
