To those that transferred or planning to transfer in a degree in biological sciences

Hi, I just wanted to ask some of you who are planning or already have transferred with an intention with finishing with a degree in biology:
How long did it take you to transfer to a U.C.? (2 or 3 years)
Would you recommend finishing the entire physics series before or after transfer?
Is it hard to transfer without completing all of the requirements though some U.C.s do not require all prerequisites for the major to be completed prior to transfer?

Thanks for answering my questions. I just want to get some advice because I see that some U.C.s require certain classes to be taken before transferring and some U.C.s are different, in that their agreements do not require taking certain classes and can be taken after transfer.

:)

You can definitely transfer in 2 years so long as you take exactly the courses you need. My counselor ***ed me over int he beginning and ended up taking classes I didn’t need so I’m gonna take 2.5 years to transfer. I will have O-Chem and Physics done and some of Bio. IMO if your Physics class transfers then just take it at the CC, even though some say it’s okay to take it once you transfer I feel like you should just get all of the pre-reqs out of the way so you don’t have to worry about any of those lower divisions once you are there.

Thank you so much!!!

Hey, pretty much the same story as the guy above. I’ll finish all prereqs including ocem and physics. Its not hard if you get on it. My friend transfered to ucsd in one year, by just finishing bio math and chem and igetc. definitely possible! goodluck
