<p>I'm sorry to hear about that, I know good and well what it feels like to be rejected from a school. Damned Columbia.</p>
<p>However, I know some of you really want to go to GT and for good reason. I'm a rising senior @ GT and my advice is this. If you get rejected from Tech and you still want to come here (you will get a great education) go to another school and transfer here your sophmore year. Seriously Tech has a very bad freshman retention rate so if you go to another college, say Ga State right down the road and make good grades you'll walk right on to this campus your second year. They accept tons of students who did well in HS but just cant handle college life at GT and drop off or get kicked out QUICK. They want kids who can handle college work and handle it well. </p>
<p>Its an option so consider it. I know TONS of students who transferred from Ga State and are doing very well. I also don't know a single Ga State transfer who was denied. It's almost the "back door" to Tech. Plan your courses wisely however, take only courses that will transfer. You can find them all on the GT website.</p>
