Scott, I have been to both campuses several times and I am truly happy with my decision.

Why do people care so much about which school I prefer? It’s totally pathetic, go get a life.

Hanita, I might be going to BU myself. See you there (maybe).

BC is in my top five favorite schools for my college list so I was extremely happy that I was accepted.
But college admissions is so weird though because a few girls in my grade, who I thought would be definite acceptances, got rejected – three with above 2300 SAT scores…and it’s not like BC accepts very little from my school. 14 girls, including myself, got in from my grade this year and 16 girls for the class of 2012.

BU has a campus? (If you go to a Boston school you will get that)

at first, i just applied to bosto college becasue i needed few more schools but was too lazy to do any more supplements. so after i found out that bc has no supplements, i applied

it’s never been my first choice but now that i got rejected and waitlisted at few schools, bc’s making its way up to the top

Ugh, today i got Waitlisted at Notre Dame, so that kinda throws that out the window. BC was my first choice though; however, Villanova has made its way up my list. BC vs. Nova will be a tough decision. Anybody have any suggestions?

This comes up alot- search the forums. The general consensus is that BC is more prestigious and offers a much better college experience. It’s really up to you.

Wasn’t my top choice. After I got rejected at Hopkins and wait-listed at Wesleyan, BC is looking like where I am going to end up.

GLMERS-Poor you ;)

haha mooseman, i didn’t mean to come across as ungrateful. boston college is an excellent school and i would be extremely happy to go there. btw, are the academics at bc comparable to wesleyan? i’ve largely heard that wesleyan is better, but i just want to confirm that fact.

The teachers at BC are known to be immensely helpful, so the resources are definitely there for you. The academics are very similar, so their not quite different enough to consider one to be superior over the other. It’s really what you make of it- keep in mind that the setting of these two schools are very different; Wesleyan is in Connecticut, and BC is in one of the greatest cities in America.

Right now BC seems to be my top choice ( although im waiting on a waitlist at Washington University in St. Louis)
I also got into University of Wisconsin–Madison, Boston university, brandeis, middlebury, UNC–chapel hill, university of rochester, uconn, loyola university chicago, Mcgill university (in canada), n some more

Just based on what I hear living on the area, Wesleyan kids are quirky and smart and genuinely interested in learning. Not saying BC kids aren’t, just saying.

BC was originally my # one choice and I never thought I would get into my reaches. Then I got into 2/3, and I actually feel bad. I was so excited for it, and now I feel like I’m holding the spot from someone else.
