I know on CSU Mentor it asks if you are eligible to return to all schools you attended. Furthermore it asks if you are not, please explain. I am not. I made a number of errors along my college path. But I am currently excelling at the JC I am attending. So I am curious, how big of a red flag is the fact that I have been academically dismissed? Because I thoroughly would like to go back to school and graduate. Also, do they look at all at recent progress and trends with GPA or is simply the cumulative the most important figure? Because while I have enrolled in around about 240 college units and completed about 170 so far with a rather mediocre GPA, my last 45 units have been over a 3.7. I would prefer that this is my last year at this CCC though and would like to transfer to a CSU, but my total GPA is around a 2.3 I think. On another tangent, I should really get all five colleges transcripts and bang out that total more precisely.

Look into Academic Renewal–both at your current CCC and how it works at the CSU (the one you attended and the one you plan to attend).

I believe most CSUs will accept the new Academic Renewal gpa when considering transfer students–but I can make no specific claims for your particular schools. Also note that each college will have its own procedures and what is accepted at one may or may not be accepted at another.

Start with your CCC and see if you qualify to apply for AR and explore those kinds of options.
