To Which Schools Did Your School Valedictorian Get Accepted?

Our valedictorian got into Elmira with a full tuition scholarship. Thanks to the Valedictorian scholarship. He's none other than myself. :D:D:D:D

Although there is no official rank in my school, I would say that the top 3 people in my school are going to the following:

Cambridge

Oxford

Imperial/UCL <-- im not sure which one she finally picked

Valedictorian at rival school going to Harvard (EA/ED)

Seven valedictorians at our school.

2.Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville

The Val for "06 is going to Duke

valedictorian '04 went to U Penn, i dunno where else he got accepted to.

valedictorian '06 only applied to Harvard (ED), got accepted.

Our val got into: Dartmouth, and Tufts, and a bunch of other schools that I can't remember at the moment. He's going to Dartmouth.

our valedictorian is going to harvard... he got into MIT, i don't know other than that. last year's (milana from the scholar!) chose princeton, the year before he went to harvard.

columbia.

last yr's was cooper union.

this year- duke

2 previous years- both went to harvard

our valedictorian this year is goin to georgetown which is a big shock because I go to an inner-city high school with a graduation rate lower than 50%

Vale 1: UCSD

Vale 2: CSUSB

Stanford University- ED

Val is going to Dartmouth, not sure where else she got in

Hope you guys on the coasts noticed post #243. The whole prestige thing is non-existent in much of the Mid-West. In days of yore, the Val at my Michigan high school was overjoyed to go to Central Michigan University.

i do have to agree with tour guide, last year, out of a class of 620+ senoirs, only 23 i believe went out of state for school, which makes people like me, who don't want to go to states schools, the outcasts

I live in the mid-west and a lot of kids at my school are prestige obsessed

I live in the mid-west and my vals hate what they find "snotty." At least a few of them turned down schools like Princeton, U of Chicago, and Northwestern in favor of UW-Madison. One girl in my class is going to U of Chicago, the rest of the top students are going to Madison. As one of them said "Its hard to justify going elsewhere when prestige doesn't matter to you and you get a great education at a state school price." (ok maybe those weren't his exact words but you get the point)

06' (my class)
1. Duke
2. U Miami (FL)
3. Harvard [Duke, UF, etc.]
8. UPenn
9. UF [accepted to BC, parents wouldn't pay]

Other students going to top schools:
~25. Duke (my best friend, funny enough, he was rejected at every other school he applied - swarth, tufts, cornell, mit...except Duke, UF, and Ga Tech)
~30. Skidmore (this very quiet girl)
~40. Tufts (me!)

Everyone else is pretting much going to UF, FSU, or UCF, even kids in the top 10. :</p>

Note: This was a class of ~575

Class of '06
I know the 3rd in line got into Stanford.

5 valedictorians:
Rice
Georgetown [William and Mary, UVA, Rice]
Wash U [ED; was accepted to SMU, Baylor, Tulane]
LSU [TAMU]
Rhodes [don't know other acceptances]
