We have three this year (I'm 08 and in my class we have eight). One is going to Duke, one I don't know about, and the last one is in a class all her own... she's a musical+mathematical genius plus I think she's gone to ever school dance with a different date for all four years of high school... :-) haha but seriously she got Harvard EA, Stanford, reportedly every application she touched... and will probably be atttending Harvard.

at my school

and i think he may have went to U of Chicago

Do all of you guys go to like private schools or something? All these Ivy leagues...

We haven't had a valedictorian go to the Ivy League in a while (we have had numerous people get accepted, not necessarily the valedictorians, however).

This year the valedictorian (me) will be going to University of Chicago.

Cal Tech, Seattle U, U of Idaho, Berkeley

UWashington-Seattle Honors

Cal Tech

nope, i go to a public school in arizona. but its a ridiculously competitive public school (colleges just don't know it yet)

06 - V - Harvard
S - Princeton
#3 - Chicago
#4 - Chicago
#5 - Stanford

05 - V - Harvard

well it was me and i'm going to george washington. last year's went to Allegheny College and the year before that the University of Pittsburgh. we don't have very high expectations lol.

As far as I know...Yale and MIT were the "big name" schools she got into.

The high school my kids attend and I work at is considered an urban public high school. To the best of my memory the top 5 are attending/planning to attend the follow:
Class of 07: #1 Berkeley or Harvey Mudd #2 Berkeley #3 Yale #4 Berkeley #5 Brown
Class of o6: #1 Stanford #2 Stanford #3 George Washington #4 Stanford #5 Berkeley
Class of 05: #1 Harvard (can't remember the rest)
Class of 04: #1 Reed #2 Berkeley #3 Brown #4 Berkeley #5 Stanford

I'm going to UChicago :)

accepted : cal,la,ucd,stanford and others..

Let's see if I can do this.

Past valedictorians have gone to Princeton, Columbia, Dartmouth and BU.

This year:

Valedictorian: Johns Hopkins
Sal: The College of New Jersey
3rd (me!) Tufts!!
4th Rowan/Rutgers
5th No idea
6th University of the Sciences in Philadelphia
7th No idea
8th Stevens

Yeah, our school isn't all that strong.

Yeah, vshi is awesome, but CC is a surprisingly small community, and it's kind of awkward to say random stuff about her...

My school hardly ever sends kids to top schools.

This year: val- app state I think; sal (me)- duke; #3 is going to cornell (I'm pretty sure she is the first person to ever go to an ivy from my high school)

2006 valedictorian is going to Carleton.

My school is one of those tragic ones where the smartest kids always end up being third, or the super brilliant kid who ends up #1 is lazy as hell.

03 - baylor (third went to brown)
04 - A&M (third I think went to barnard I believe)
05 - super smart kid who got into yale, but went to UT-austin (third not so great)
06 - university of houston (third went to harvard)
07 - east texas baptist university (third (me) is deciding between brown & cornell)

hey.. I read somewhere on this thread that [I'd say over 75% of our college bound seniors are going to our local community college.] Is it true?

Our class only had 89 kids, but...

Johns Hopkins

Wesleyan / CUNY Honors

Union

Other notables: Harvard (URM aspiring actress), Cornell/Amherst (URM), a few Tufts, 2 Bowdoin, Georgetown, Wellesley, Middlebury

not too shabby for such a small school I guess

we don't have a valedictorian, but most of us know who is #1.
i know that he got into MIT and Yale.
i'm sure that he will choose Yale.

2 is going to Penn

3 is going to MIT
