TOEFL dilemma

Hello

I am an international student who will apply for RD for a number of American colleges.

I got a 700 on SAT CR, and I always thought that taking the TOEFL would be a waste of time and money, considering that many colleges waive the requirement for TOEFL if one's CR score is high enough. Now I found out that many colleges like NYU insist on international students taking the exam regardless of the CR score.

The problem is that I will not be able to take the test before January 16th. So, if I send my scores too late, would TOEFL pose that much of a threat to my admission?

Thank you

Email the international admissions office.

Tell them that you are registered for the TOEFL or IELTS or whatever other exam it is they accept, on whatever date it is that you are registered for.

Ask if this will be a problem in your specific case.

Good luck.
