I am wondering if basically all U.S universities prefer to receive a TOEFL score as a part of a international student admission? Is there a list of those colleges that do/do not require the TOEFL?

Thank you!

well i think most schools waive TOEFL if you have been studying english as your first language for the last 5-6 years of your HS or sometimes if you get more than 650 in your CR section in SAT 1.

If you are from a non-english speaking HS and have not taken SAT, yes TOEFL score is needed for almost all schools. I was helping some one to register in a CC and they even require TOFEL score to issue the I-20.

^ well i pretty much meant the same thing. if someone tells you what is accepted, then its quite easy to figure out what is not accepted, isnt it?

true. I just did the SAT and I’m currently waiting upon the results. Just wondering if the requirements are different for various colleges, and if there may be a list that shows which colleges require/don’t require the TOEFL test? It would be helpful, since i haven’t narrowed my colleges down yet.

im afraid you would have to go and check it out yourself for every college you are applying to. i dont think theres such a list out there. probably you should take the first initiative in creating such a list :D
