TOEFL (Normal, Jr, iBT, pBT)

Hi guys,

First off, I was wondering if I had to take the TOEFL test, I am an international applicant, and english is not my first language, although I have studied it for more than 7 years already.

Secondly, at the test center where I live, they were suggesting I take the TOEFL Jr. Test, which is for students age under 14. I am not sure if I should take the Jr version or to just take the normal version, which is why I am asking online.

And lastly, I was wondering what differences the internet based version and the paper based version for TOEFL are, which one you think is easier, and how well you did for it.

Thank You! :)

Yes, TOELF is required for international students. I think you should take TOEFL iBT (internet based) and try to aim for above 105+ if you’re applying to the more selective prep schools. I took the iBT and got 110. I don’t know what the paper version is like, but schools generally prefer the internet based version because it includes speaking.

In short, take the normal, iBT version just to be sure.
