<p>Each college and university has its own rules about who needs to report a TOEFL score. These rules change from one year to the next, and within a large university may even be different from one department to the next. You need to check the requirements of each and every college and university that you are applying to.</p>
<p>It's not so hard though. Go to their admissions department website, and search for TOEFL.</p>

<p>generally, colleges won't look at it unless you're an immigrant AND you've been attending a US high school for less than 3 years. if both of those apply to you, you should definitely take it.</p>
