So I'm applying to college next year, and on many of the applications, they say applicants MUST take the TOEFL exam if English is not their native language. Well, English is not my native language, but do I seriously have to take this test given I've received a 750+ on both the Critical Reading and Writing Section on the SATs?

no!

you definitely don't need to take the TOEFL if you got such a good mark

cus when i checked the websites of some univeristies, they said take the TOEFL only if the mark you got on CR and Writing Section of the SAT cannot appropriately reflect your english level.

and since TOEFL is much easier than SAT

it doesn't make any sense that a person who can score very well on SAT can't pass TOEFL??!!

but..........i think you still need to doublecheck this with the administration.

hope this would help

Basically take TOEFL if you go to a school that doesn't teach in English for most of their classes, and probably take it if you take ESL.
