i took the sat and wasn't please with my reading score
I would rather take the toefl but does mit look at both sat and toefl?
I saw in the test options that it's either one but is toefl seen as a less challenging test and therefore looked down?</p>

If so, either TOEFL or SAT is acceptable (of course you still have to take at least 2 SAT subject tests). I don’t think they will look down on your profile if you submit your TOEFL score instead of SAT. Reason? Think about it. You should realize that when applying to MIT.</p>
<p>From what I’ve read in the MIT website, the January test date is the latest date you can take in order to send the score on time, provided that you order to send the score directly to MIT before sitting for the test. And again, you should realize this when applying to MIT.</p>

Absolutely not. If you submit both the TOEFL and the SAT, MIT will use the better score to evaluate you.</p>
