Too Clich

For my common app activity short answer, I want to write about Boy Scouts and how much it means to me. For my Eagle Scout project, I blazed a trail for the town and I wanted to write about that and how it relates to my trail through Boy Scouts.

However, I'm afraid it'd be too cliche for admissions although trails have a special meaning to me (my project). Would this topic suffice for my short answer essay?

Yes, it’s completely fine. Just make sure to focus on your unique experience and what Boy Scouts means to you rather than covering common ground.
