<p>I'm writing my essay, and it's fully reflective of who I am, but I'm feeling that it is a little too deep - too erudite. I'm dropping words like "deontologist," among with subtle references to the great works of the Western canon ... </p>
<p>What if I write a genuinely good essay but the adcom just doesn't have the level of education in literature and philosophy required to understand my essay? </p>
<p>Will my essay get tossed out, or will the adcom give it to say the philosophy chair on the admissions committee?</p>
<p>Will they make a genuine attempt to understand my writing?</p>
