Too late for an Internship?

<p>Hi guys :)</p>

<p>Due to multiple reasons, I've found myself behind on the summer application process! I really want to stay at home this summer and do an internship at a nearby college (closest one is Stanford).</p>

<p>Do you think it's impolite and futile to email professors now?</p>

<p>no, I don’t think it is. Just be polite, patient, and if it turns out it is in fact too late, thank them for their time and move on to the next professor.</p>
