<p>I've been trying for the past few weeks to get an internship/summer job but haven't had much luck. I would have liked to do research this summer. I really just want to do something and not waste the coming 2 months.</p>
<p>Do you guys think it is too late to get an internship? Do you have any ideas for internships/research positions in the Houston area?</p>

<p>It’s pretty late to be looking, but probably not impossible to at least get a more normal summer job. If you wanted an internship or research position, you should have started looking at at least the beginning of spring semester.</p>

<p>you can keep on looking, i applied for an internship 3 weeks ago and started mid last week</p>
