Hey guys I was wondering when is the latest I can turn in my ED app? I screwed up my first time taking the SAT and got a score which is too low for the colleges I want to apply to. But I am retaking it in October and looking to raise it up to 2100-2200. Now the only problem is the fact that I still have to take my SAT IIs and the earliest I can do that is November. Do you think UVA would possibly take the SAT IIs a bit late or will I just have to skip ED?

Early Decision is a binding early app process and you can apply to only one college ED. Early action (EA) is non-binding. UVa has only EA. It wants application and all required materials including test scores sent by Nov 1 for EA app process to be considered timely. That means tests must be completed by Oct test date (and UVa should be designated as a free send college in your app for the test because that assures it will be timely sent). However, UVa does not require but instead recommends SAT subject tests. Thus as long as you send SAT score by Nov 1 your application can be considered complete for EA timeliness even if no subject test scores are sent. You can then take the Nov subject tests and send them and they will be considered for EA if they arrive before decision has been made on you.

Ah alright thanks. I always thought UVA still did ED, guess I was wrong. You seem to have a lot of knowledge on this subject so what would you recommend? I heard that SAT IIs are basically requirements because without them it is very hard to get in so I figured I would take them before sending it. I am already OOS and have semi-weak ECs so I need every advantage I can get.
