Do you think it would be too late to receive significant merit-based aid if I applied to Pitt now? I understand the deadline for priority action is not until January 15th, but as an out-of-stater, the school would only be an option if I were to receive scholarship money.

I don’t think it’s too late but applying past say Oct does seem to decrease your odds at “significant” because Pitt doesn’t guarantee merit if you meet a certain criteria.
It’s not too late! Just be sure to meet that deadline. You will be automatically reviewed by the Scholarship Committee if you apply before Jan 15.
