Too late, or do I still have a chance?

Damn me and my procrastination. I figure I could have gotten in if I had applied before January but now it's gotten really late and I'm fairly worried. UCF was one of the schools I visited that I liked the most, but I never got around to applying, and when the end second grading quarter came around in early January I didn't do so well and I was afraid to send my transcript now that it had those grades.

So now it's the end of the third grading period, and I put a ton of effort into fighting off the senioritis and into making sure my grades were high this time. I'm taking 4 AP classes and I scrounged together a B in all of them this time so hopefully that'll make up for my meh second quarter grades.

Anyway, my vitals:
Hispanic male from Miami, FL
3.3 unweighted, 4.2 weighted (not factoring in the third grading quarter, which might raise them .1 or so).
Class rank is 87%
1350/1980 SAT, 30 ACT
Took 1 AP class last year, got a 3 on the exam
Taking 5 AP classes this year, feel good about passing all of them (except for Econ)
All other courses have been honors

My GPA is exceedingly mediocre, but I'm hoping I can write a killer personal statement to help my case. And my test scores should help the situation, right?

I'm an idiot for waiting so long. I applied to other schools of course, but I really did get a nice "feeling" about UCF when I visited and Orlando seems like the perfect place for me, especially since it has a booming technological sector (planned Computer Science major).

I'm really worried that I'll be deferred, or that I won't make it in at all since I applied so late. Can anyone tell me how much I should really be worrying?

Sorry for being so wordy, must be nervousness. Thanks everyone.

EDIT:
If it would help, I've also got a fair amount of community service and volunteer work under my belt, and I'm involved in several clubs. No officer positions, but an active member in several.
