SO I am starting the boarding school process a little late. From the schools websites and research i made a list of schools I would like to visit, interview, and then some apply.

The list:
Deerfield
Lawrenceville
Millbrook
Loomis
Westminster

My safe schools are:
Brewster
Williston Northhampton

So do you think its too late to visit and apply?

I don’t think it is technically too late to interview. The only problem is that you don’t have many days until the winter break. Also, the deadlines for most schools should be Jan 15 and you don’t have many days there either. If you decide to visit the schools, you’d better contact the schools ASAP and arrange the interviews.

Many schools will be squeezing in interviews till the end of Jan. Just call them.

I would say with the time that you have, apply to 2-3 schools, and 1 safety school (or two, depending on how much you can handle.) You have enough time, but maybe not enough time for everything that you listed. Hope that helped.

S1 decided to apply AFTER Xmas. It wasn’t pretty, but he was able to complete everything for a half doz schools, including interviews & taking the Jan SSAT, in one month’s time. U have more time now than he had then.

I’m pretty sure that every school you listed except deerfield takes the SSAT app, so that’s really just two apps to complete. Most schools also continue interviewing even after the app deadline so you can totally do this. The hardest part will be visiting.
