I was just recently rejected for a research opportunity and I don't have any idea what I will do now....</p>

<p>i dont think its too late. particularly, if you're willing to work at a place like starbucks or something you could most likely get that.</p>

<p>May be too late for the programmed internships, but many companies like mine delay summer offers until they know the workload a little better. My field is environmental consulting, but I'd think just about any consulting outfit, no matter the field, is a target for you, under the presumption they hire summer folks like we do. What is your field of study or interest?</p>
<p>not too late at all, just search search search and do not give up. I had submitted my resume a week ago and got an interview two days after :). Some companies are that desperate in hiring interns.</p>
