Too late to send SATs?

I just found out that it could take 4 weeks for Collegeboard to send out my SATs. I was going to send them out today but the deadline for the colleges I'm applying for transfer to are all March 1 and it definitely wouldn't get there in time in that worst case scenario.

Is it too late to get them in on time without rush delivery? I could absolutely not afford the extra money to rush them because I'm applying to 10 schools and that would be an extra $300. Or is March 1st the postmarked date?

I've searched the forum for the answer to this but found conflicting responses.

I’m pretty sure Mar 1 is the postmarked date, and many schools (at least the ones I’m applying to) are still matching up files and locating missing application pieces for awhile after the deadline.

I’m thinking you are asking for an Archived Score Report right? I did that twice this winter because I added a couple schools to my list at the last minute. The first time took 6 weeks but the second time only took 2 weeks. So it could go either way.

Don’t do rush delivery but have them sent. The worst thing that could happen is that they get there late. On the other hand, if you really have a lot of anxiety about it perhaps you could do the rush delivery just for your top 1 or 2 options and regular for the rest.

Well they’re not going to be able to be shipped out until Monday so I have the weekend to decide how I’m going to send them. Is the conventional wisdom that I should rush the top 2 or 3 schools and do normal delivery for the other ones?

Ahhhh.

Are colleges generally flexible if test scores are postmarked a few days late?
