<p>So , due to some family issues, I have missed the last test for the SAT this spring (June 1st). I hadn't taken it before. Now, my last chance to take it would be as a senior in the fall. It seems to me that this is cutting it a little close before actually applying for college. Will it look bad taking the test so late? How soon after October do I actually start applying for most colleges?</p>
<p>It would be fine if you thoroughly prepare for it over the summer before your first attempt. It may be your last attempt before EA/ED deadline but some schools would accept even November scores for that. You will still be a couple more chances before most RD application deadline after the November test. Although you are a bit late for the game, it is not the end of the world at all. The only problem is you may need to work on your list of schools for applications before you have a real score and you need to prepare for the test while working on the essay at the same time.</p>
